This new work is still in the early stages - both the illustrator and I are still hard at work on crafted the perfect contents for this exciting new project. It is a series, not a stand-alone, like Mr. Edmund Goat and the Elusive Clover - which is new for both of us.
The story Edmund Goat just fell into our lap. The story is based on a true situation that occurred on my family farm. The characters are based on real life goats, making it easy to illustrate and fairly simple to write (as simple as writing about goats can be, I suppose). This project is something near and dear to both our hearts - something that we both enjoy creating and sharing.
The project's title is The Kids' Guide to Werewolves and is book one in the Mythology for Little Ones series. It is a simplified, easy-to-read introduction to mythological creatures, meant to ease young children into the world of fantasy characters in both books and movies. It will feature stunning, hand-drawn illustrations of cuddly, friendly werewolves engaged in activities that a child can relate to, such as eating candy or wearing a tutu.
It will be fun, unique, and quirky.
And let's not forget the adults out there who enjoy a good laugh. I mean, really... what's funnier than a werewolf in a tutu?
