As I'm sure I'm not the only one who allowed their writing to get away from them through the holiday season, today's #MotivationalMonday quote is aimed at getting us back on track. This quote is from the Master of Horror, Mr. Stephen King. If there's anyone who understands how to crank out an insane amount of work, it is Mr. King. He's basically a legacy all wrapped up in a neat little package. I pretty much take anything he says about writing to heart, because clearly - he's got it figured out!
Today's quote is a dialogue quote from the Master of Horror. Not really meant to be an "inspirational quote," this one still sunk in with me, as it makes sense. Particularly when you have events such as George R R Martin missing deadlines and the internet going bonkers. Authors are all different - we write differently, on different time schedules, and are slaves to our ideas. If they're not coming, we can't write. End of story. I know I get sick of being asked "When are you going to finish that novel?". My answer is usually just "When I can."
Today's quote is a spin on that concept.
(Don't forget to leave your own motivational quote or saying in the comments! I love hearing them!)
